Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance

Title:                                Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance


Status:                             Exempt


The Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance will provide strategic vision, policy and leadership for the Superior Uniform Group Quality Assurance program. This role will ensure that all company products meet the highest level of quality, product safety and customer requirements.  The Sr. Manager, QA will also develop standard operating procedures to ensure Superior Uniform Group will be always a top tier quality supplier of apparel in Superior’s focus markets.


  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to be utilized throughout Superior Uniform Group’s manufacturing and vendor partners.
  • Work with vendors and direct reports to insure quality levels are constantly being improved.
  • Be an advocate throughout the organization for product quality.  
  • Communicate quality goals and commitments throughout the entire supply chain.
  • Implement apparel industry quality assurance best practices throughout the supply chain.
  • Supervise, coach and develop direct reports to help them achieve customer, corporate and department goals.
  • Manage a diverse global work force located
  • Develop worldwide network of employees to ensure vendor-partner factories are trained and audited on a regular basis and meeting objectives.
  • Create and maintain all QA reporting.
  • Provide analysis, trends, and reporting as required by senior management.
  • Collaborate with product development to ensure new product designs are manufactured to meet our quality standards.
  • Engage with Marketing and Design to ensure that our product packing and appearance meet our strategic goals and promote our brand awareness.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures and training are documented.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience


  • 10 years of experience in apparel industry QA Manager role.
  • Experience in a higher end retail sales and manufacturing environment
  • Some level of textile background is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of quality design and control, manufacturing and factory execution knowledge.
  • Knowledge of patterns as well as cut and sew operations.
  • Broad product experience with both men’s and women’s products.
  • Experience with woven and knit fabrics.
  • Garment experience also must include tops, bottoms as well as suiting.
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) for extended time periods (60% of the time).
  • English as first language is required. Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese also would be ideal.
